Delar ut ett stipendium som de kallar för ”Drömknäcket”. Det har utlysts sedan år 1999. Det ska vara något som ligger utanför de vanliga rutinjobben, sådant som den egna redaktionsledningen inte trott på eller som ansetts vara för dyrt. År 2004 var summan på 10 000 sek. Endast medlemmar i SJF kan söka.
